I'm sure a lot of us are sellers vs buyers but just curious, were you to take grab your wallet and go to a different auction site , what about eBay's site would you like to see replicated?

In other words, what do you like about eBay's site and what DON'T you like about it from a buyer's standpoint?

Doing some research.......thanks folks!

I like the ability to search for items and how you can narrow down your options...
I like using PayPal to pay for my items...
I like both the auction and fixed price formats...

I don't like that sellers can hide the amount of postage they paid for when they print labels at home using PayPal... I am too lazy to get out the scale and calculate on my own...

I like the feedback (which would be take a while to replicate on a new site, because of course it relies on a long history).I don't like that buyers can no longer receive negative feedback; it seems too risky for sellers. Granted, I guess what could be negative, beyond the time it took to provide payment... but still.
I find local coupons at Couponfield.com

The Unique Thrift stores in the Washington DC /Maryland area are 50% off all in the store on Monday. Every federal holiday they mark the entire store 50% off. They are higher than most thrift stores but have a lot more stuff so I go mostly on 50% off days.

When I sold on Ebay I always listed "shipping & handling charges"  My standard handling charge for most items was $2.00  This helped defray my costs for boxes, bubble wrap, packing tape, etc.  Personally I used a lot of bubble wrap in wrapping stuff so it didn't break in shipment.  I was always upset when I got something shipped to me thrown in a box with some crumpled newspaper.  It wasn't my goal to make money on shipping, it was my goal to cover the true costs of packing & shipping.
