The notorious Betty Paige, Queen of the Nice-Girl Pin-ups of the 50s and 60s,  has died at the age of 85.

Rest in Peace,  Betty. Thank you for all your hard work here on planet earth.

I loved your earthly exuburance and lust for life.  You've been an inspiration to millions of women and men throughout the years, and for that, you deserve heavenly kudos and kisses.

Hey Seso..thanx for clearing up a "little mystery" for me! Last night as hubby and I was watching the news we heard of someone who had died in the entertainment world. Well I got busy and never heard who it was. Went to bed thinking about it last night, thinking maybe it was Elizabeth Taylor or someone else of that stature. Then woke up this a.m. with that being my first thought...wonder who it was thinking for sure I would hear it on the morning news. Well never did and just got online here and found out the answer to my question..thanx! lol! That was a nice link that you posted also, have to tell hubby now.... :D

I was watching the news and the announcer started talking about the passing of a Hollywood legend.  I expected Bettie...but it was Van Johnson.   :-\

Thanks, BDA. I was hoping a member of your gender would chime in.

She was just stunning, wasn't she? A vibrant vixen to be sure.

Did you know that in her later years, she served as an advisor to the Billy Graham crusade?

A woman of many talents!

Those trading cards must be amazing! I believe she was one of the most beautiful women of the 20th century, along with Marilyn and Elizabeth.

Anyone else have any other nominees?

Katherine Hepburn (classic way), Audrey Hepburn (impish way), and really, if you check out her early movies, Lucille Ball.

I fear I don't remember Betty but she is a knockout. Lucy's blue eyes just were killer.

20th Century . . . Geena Davis (a member of Mensa) was shockinging beautiful. I'll always remember Suzanne Plushette. I always wanted to look just like her. I was a brunette till God decided to make me very light blonde. LOL!
