Seashore finds
« on: May 08, 2016, 05:13:24 PM »
The hubbage and I recently moved to Cape May County, NJ or, as termed in Philadelphia from where I came, 'downashore.'

Downashore has a LOT of thrift stores.  Alas, most are not as big or as worthwhile as some I left behind in Philly, but one can find good stuff now and then.

So far I've found:

a 1950s Shirley Temple doll for $5

a cool cane with bird handle for $6

a VERY cool inkwell, with gryphons for the base $4

some desirable books $1 each

most of a set of seashore-themed dinnerware $25

Nice cane FleaQueen! Isn't it somewhat similar to the one used by Agatha Christie's Detective Hercule Perot?

I have no recollection what Mr Poirot carried, but it would be VERY cool if it was something like my cane.
