Hello,

Does anyone know of any good thrift stores for women's clothing in the downtown or the area close to downtown Windsor?

Thank you.

I hate to be the dimwit, but it might help if you tried to narrow it down a bit.

I know of Windsor, CT and Windsor, Ontario.  I'm sure there are others.

Then, consult Good Buddy's data base which is accessed from the home page.  I think you can plug in a zip code and it'll spit out all the shops within a given radius.

Hope this helps.

Hi Big Daddy,

Thank you for your reply, I will be in Windsor, Canada.

I tried to input the 6 digit postal code, and it appears the forum would not accept the code.  I tried N9A 7H7.  Only the first 5 digits were accepted.

This is an area where Good Buddy might be able to change the protocols on the search engine and include Canadian cities.  I'm not sure what sort of data he has on Canada, so as for right now, it might be simply be easier to find a Windsor "Yellow Pages" on line and search for Thrift Stores.

Take off eh!!!

Just enter a Detroit zip and take a drive through the tunnel. Should be close enough.

There isn't any thrifting downtown Windsor. Downtown Windsor is strip clubs, bars, coffee houses, hotels, bingo parlors & the Casino.

There are 2 Value Villages (near Tecumseh Mall, Walker), a Salvation Army (Walker Rd), an antique mall at Moy & Ottawa (kinda sucks but you can find gems sometimes), but there's other shops in the area (thrifts, antiques, pawn, a vintage shop), Bibles for Missions, St. Vincent de Paul on Chilver. There are some vintagey shops near Chilver (somewhere), but they never looked to exciting. There is also a shop that has been there forever - Rosa's, or something, forget where that one is, but I am thinking Wyandotte. Never been. There's another one in South Windsor, I have no clue where it is, never been there, it's too out of the way.

The thrift stores are basically spread out all over the city.

If you are using Google, the Value Village on Dougall closed down a few years ago.

The Value Village shops are basically the place to go, nothing else compares in Windsor unfortunately.

I misread about the women's clothing, but I'm not going to erase everything, lol.

Go to the Value Village stores. There other thrifts do not carry much quality clothing. You might get lucky at the Salvation Army. There is a cheap clothing store on Ottawa. I have never looked at the women's clothing.
