My daughter & I visited Quincy to hit the thrift stores there on 9/27/06. We were both sadly disappointed with the amount of thrift stores there and the quality of the stores. If you count actual thrift stores there seems to be only one there, the Salvation Army. There is another thrift store The Peoples Choice Thrift Store, but it has many new items mixed in with the used. Many of the stores in town are resale or consignment shops. I don''t think any of the stores took debit/credit, they accepted either cash or check.
We found some good bargains but overall we were disappointed with the shopping in the area. So we won''t be visiting that town again when I come to visit my daughter and we go shopping at thrift stores.
