Wow... Let me start off by saying I know this review is long but please take 2 minutes to give it a read. I am absolutely appalled by my experience today. This morning I decided to make the most of the end of summer sunshine and took my kiddos on a long walk into town for lunch and downtown shopping. I packed up my Petunia Pickle Bottom diaper bag (a $160 bag) with everything we could possible need for the afternoon, loaded up 1 child in the stroller, and had the other kiddo in a carrier (a $140 organic Ergobaby, to be exact). When we walked into this shop, the lady behind the counter came over and asked if she could take my diaper bag and acted like she was doing me some great favor. I said no because not only does this bag contain my phone, wallet, loose cash, and everything important we may need for the day, but by this time it was hanging on the back of the stroller just so and it isn't easy to adjust. I clearly have my hands full and I had everything situated just right so I could maneuver through the small store with my family. She laughed at my response and said, "No?!" like how dare you question me. She then asked if I had ever been in the store before and seemed shocked when I answered yes. She again asked for my bag and said she would put it behind the counter. Umm, no! I don't know this lady. How do I know she isn't going to take the money I have stashed in a very convenient, openly accessible pocket?! I told her I'm not going to steal anything, I'm just trying to shop in her store. She said that this is their policy and it's not for "people like me" but it is their store policy and I had to leave. I went into that store to buy three bags of coffee, a hand painted coffee mug, a basket, and anything else that caught my eye. I was planning to spend over $80 but was treated like a criminal and forced to leave the store. I've never shoplifted anything - from anywhere - but I was denied the chance to even walk through this store and was treated like a thief. I am disgusted by the behavior of this organization. Apparently their store isn't for "people like me" - a paying customer! Fair Trade stores are a dime a dozen; they all sell the same items. I urge you to patron a store that won't treat you like a thief and criminal. There's a great Fair Trade store in Corvallis called Many Hands Trading Company located off Madison and 3rd street. They have have a much bigger store with a wider selection of items including the ones found in this store. I highly recommend shopping there instead - or anywhere else, really. When I was rejected from this store I popped into the Teen Challenge thrift shop next door and was treated very kindly. (Read More)

This used to be a good store, but more recent management has turned this location into a joke with their absurd, confused prices, and with how many things they send out of the store to sell on their lousy auction site. This store is a perfect example of how to turn a regular customer into someone who no longer finds it worth even stepping foot inside this store. They need to evaluate what their business plan is and worry less about how they look on PAPER and more about their actual sales numbers, instead of what dollar amount they can price everyday. These people need serious help. (Read More)

The prices are insane and seemingly done as random most the time. Things are priced so high they sit for months and months unsold, so inventory is always stale. They need to be better educated on the values of the things they are trying to sell, instead of ruining repeat business by people who walk in, laugh and then leave, never to return again.
