They have gotten way to expensive. I can buy new for their prices and its not used. The store has a nasty smell and the staff can be very rude

Pricing on clothing has become delusional in recent months. Lots of selection though. Dishes sold by the piece, which is a plus in my book.

The pricing is absolutely ridiculous. There is no consistency to the pricing: a piece of furniture could be $5.99 while a dress would be $24.99. The management will not work with you on coming down on pricing at all (even on damaged items!), just point out the discount days. Does this thrift store benefit a charity at all? One plus: their fitting rooms were clean and well lit.

For those of you wondering, THIS is how most of the CHARITY donations come into this store. When you get a call from, say, the Vietnam Vets or the Lupus Society and they offer to pick up your donations for free, you set your boxes outside and file away the donation slip. The big truck takes your stuff to Unique and other thrift stores, where they pay by the pound for whatever is on the truck, sight unseen. The stores then sell your stuff for a profit, and sometimes not, who know how much unsellable stuff gets pawned off on the free charity truck. So for people saying that a charity doesn't benefit from the sales at Unique, you are wrong. Granted the Salvation Army has their own store, but many charitable organizations do not. When you set your stuff on the doorstop for the free pickup, this is one of the stores it ends up in. If you aren't comfortable with that, then take your stuff to the store of your choice, and shop at the store of your choice.
