Fellow thrifters,

As we're always only trying to make the site better, I've changed to a more relaiable hosting company.
Please report any issues here for the moment.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

I had the site transfered to a new, I hope better, hosting company and I'm curious how the site's working for everyone.
Is the site loading fine and fast for everybody?
Please let me know how things are working?

GB, it seems to be OK, though sometimes it chokes for me---the background will come up, but the messages take a lot longer to come up. All in all, thought, it's been OK.

So far it's working okay.  I don't notice the choking as much this time as I used to notice it.  I always thought that was on my end.

What happened to the spell checker?Huh  I don't spell too good you know.

The "Hide email address" option still does not work.  I had to unregister & register with a new email to keep my main email address private.  This is important to some people & you should try to fix that problem since you offer it as an option, but it is really not an option.  Otherwise your site is excellent & unique!

I got the following error message several times today:

Quote
This Account Has Exceeded Its CPU Quota

Please contact this site's webmaster.

Wait a few minutes and use your browser's "Back" button or click here to try again.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you are the webmaster, your account may have gotten this error for one or more of the following reasons:
Your account has used more than its share of the cpu in the past 60 second sliding window.
Your account has too many concurrent processes running simultanously.
Your account has consumed too much memory.
Your site was recently very busy trying to run inefficient scripts.
The solution would be to optimize your applications to use less CPU.
Adding appropriate indeces to your SQL tables can often help reduce CPU.
Using static .html documents instead of painful .php scripts will practically eliminate CPU usage.

I got the same message earlier. I think another user on my hosting platform was sending out a bunch of e-mails or something.
Everything seems fine now...

I would like the hide email option as well to help avoid spam.

Only registered users can see an e-mail address.
If a registered user was spamming anyone I'd ban them from the site forever.

OK, I wasn't aware that only registered users could see that.  I thought it was public.
