While DH and I were out, made a half-hearted stop at the local GW, not expecting to find anything. Looked at dishes, didn't see anything of note. About to walk away and looked into a bowl--saw a yellow glow in the bowl. Lifted the bowl inside the bowl and Lo! and Behold--the YELLOW Pyrex Dots Bowl!  Yahoo! In pretty decent vintage shape, I might add. At 2.99, it came home with us. (It looks like somebody might have hidden it there, on the off-chance it wouldn't be found, maybe?)

I found the blue dots a few months ago. With the addition of the yellow, I just need the orange and the green. To me, it's just amazing to find two dots bowls (at least in this area) within a few months of each other, at different thrifts.  It will look great with my Royal China Starglow.

Yippee!

Congrats!  And at a good price, too!  I would love to find the orange dot one, but I would settle for the others, as they are neat!

Wow what a find!  Do you wonder how the person who gave it up could do such a thing?  I have NEVER seen a pyrex dot pattern in any of my thrift/garage sale trips.  But I'd sure like to!

Ya know, SeSo, I don't think I've ever seen Pyrex with dots. I'll have to start keeping my eye open.
Good on ya for your find!

Thanks, Femme1! Frankly, I didn't even know it existed, either, until I came to this site  and caught--got infected with--the dreaded disease PYREXIA [/glow] !!! Grin Grin

Nice find!  It pays to look inside under and in other things, doesn't it?

Oh wow, Seso, way to go. How cute they must be! (I must have missed this thread earlier.)

You know, I actually dreamt last night I found the pink pyrex bowl that had the berries on it that my mother had owned. Why am I now not only dreaming of thrifting, but dreaming of thrifting PYREX??? I need help.

(And as much as I love you guys, I don't think you Pyrexamaniacs will be the ones to necessarily help me off the Pyrexia path...)

Plus that bowl really WOULD look good in my kitchen.

Dreaming of a specific Pyrex bowl, hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Let's see what it says in the "Thrifters' Dream Journal".  It sez: "there's one in your future when you least expect it. In the spring, on a sojourn to a faraway thrift in the land of pastels and flowers"

Seriously, keep your eyes open, TSR.  This may be YOUR year to score that piece!
