Thrifting has been a bit slow lately.  An understatement to be honest.  Since Christmas I haven't found but one or two items I have been real excited about.  Today made up for it.
DD and I hit our favoirte thriftt today, it is the day the color changes for the half price markdown.
Lots of great finds!
Six (Yes SIX!) silk scarves, two with the tags still attached for $1 each.
Two scarves DD loved although they aren't likely silk, but cute anyway, for $.75 and $1.  One she wore to her Sci Fi class at school tonight.  A black and white print with "Relativity" written all over it.
Four juice sized glassed with a different bird on each one.
A wooden duck to add to my growing flock of wooden ducks that live in my flower beds out front.  A coffee table size art book on American Quilts for $1.50.  A cookbook from the London Ritz hotel.  A really cute plaid table cloth.  A pair of hand embrodiered pillowcases with yellow flowers.  A sort of industrial looking necklace.  And a single bed sized unfinished quilt top.  The top was pieced but not bound or quilted.  A whole $.75 for that one folks!  The fabrics are vintage 50s adn 60 looking in design and color.  Don't know what I will do iwth it yet but for that price, hey, it came home with me till I decide. And the best part it all came to just under $18.  I'm so excited.  Oh, and I forgot I also found a real cute teddy bear, a Christmas one maybe, with a blue velvet dress wiht fur trim and some sparkly silver charms in her hand for MIL who loves bears.  Tags still attached.  A great day. I'm still smilin'.

Glad you are finding stuff.  The thrifts are dead here.  I did find a small Vera Bradley bag in perfect condition for 1.99 last week but nothing other than that.  It is getting depressing, glad the yard sales will start up in the next month.

I bought a vintage twin quilt top about three years ago at the SA for 3 bucks.  it is mainly pink and green so I though it would be cute for my daughters bed.  it sat in a trunk for three years until I just recently took it out and sewed some batting to the back of it.  That is as far as I have gone so far-of course my daughters tastes has changed now and she is sick of anything pink so who knows what I will end up doing with the quilt.  good luck with your project, hope it doesn't take as long as mine!

I found a new thrift today in Hanover affiliated with the Cushing Center.  Super cheap! Jeans $1.45 and today they were BOGO free.  I will be heading there again....

The Masonic lodge had the first yard sale of the year last Sat.  Had it inside of course but the weather was unexpectedly nice so they could have had it outside.  Didn't find much other than a couple of books but it was nice to have it.  In a month or so we too should be having yard/garage/estate sales popping up.  Can't wait.  It had been a long winter with not many treasures to be found.

Sounds like a great place to shop.  Where is it located?  Always  like to know in case I end up there sometime.
