Ok, I saw some other people posting all their goodies under one thread, which I think is a great idea. I'm probably not as "hardcore" thrifty as most of you guys, but I try my best! One thing I love is to take pictures to share my finds. So I guess this is my starting point. Enjoy!

A blue teapot to add to my collection, $3 at a garage sale:

Some vintage View Masters, with slide sets ranging from 1958-1978, $1.00 at a garage sale:

Shirt Tales, found in a Free Box!:

A cute ceramic panda bear, 50 cents at a flea market:

And a jar of marbles, $1.00 at a garage sale. I added them to a previously thrifted bowl, and made a really cool centerpiece:

I love all your finds especially those marbles!  They look great with that gorgeous quilt you have!

Great Shirt Tales find too.  I always pick up 70's/80's cartoon character stuff if I see it cheap (free is the best).  I recently got Strawberry Shortcake & Care Bear talking telephones from the early 80's at the Sal Army.  My best find was the vintage tickled pink Rainbow Brite Doll I found a few years back.

Today I bought this vase at Goodwill for $3.99. I thought it was priced too high, which is why I didn't buy it the first time I saw it. But I kept thinking about it, and it was still there today, so I grabbed it anyway. I mean, how often do you come across a pink dancing hippo vase? It was too cute. Anyone ever see anything like it?

Brilliant Coup on the ViewMasters.  Looks like you got some choice reels there as well.

Your finds are great. I most love the blue teapot.  I have a few pieces in that blue and LUV them.

Your pink hippo vase is a find. I have never ever seen anything like it.

Enjoy!

That vase is cute, I saw a hippo cookie jar the other day at the SA it had a sweater with an H on it.  I wasn't sure if it stood for hippo or if it was supposed to be Henrietta Hippo.  I didn't see it in my cookie jar book, it was gone the next day anyway.  It wasn't marked but many cookie jars aren't which is a little frustrating for ID.

I see hippo stuff fairly regularly, not all cute like the vase, but I guess you could build quite a hippo collection over time.  Here's a couple that has a huge hippo collection- I do like their cookie jars!

Will you be flying these kites or are they going into a collection?

Found this at a Unique Thrift Store in the Chicago area for 79 cents.
Not sure what I'll do with it, but it sure is pretty.

That is pretty, I love cobalt glass.  It looks great in a window where the light can shine through.  I have some old pointil glass that was my great aunt & uncles, but I have no where to put it (afraid the cat will knock them over in a window- even the high one!)

Speaking of pretty glass, I found this vintage glass bead necklace at the Sal Army yesterday for 3 bucks.  I haven't seen a nice glass bead necklace for a long time.  Maybe I know why now that the manager told me that there are a group of people that scavenge the store several times a day.  One woman Barbara who is actually a nice lady, is a big jewelry buyer, the manager said she didn't come in yesterday.  I wonder if there is actually decent jewelry on a regular basis & I just miss it?

thriftymama, that necklace is gorgeous!!  I have a "thing" for vintage jewelry.  Especially blues and greens. Have you worn it yet?   Grin
