foutchie, maybe someday I'll post a real pic.  I found that avatar several years ago and it just became "me".  But I am NOT a clean-a-holic or anything.   Wink

Krista,

Before I was born, my folks had those tin cabinets in the kitchen in stead of real wood cabinets (1950). The house had a problem with rats in thw winter and it drove my folks crazy. One night my mom trapped one behind on of those tin cabinets and yelled for my father.  They couldn't figure out how to make sure the rat wouldn't get away, so my dad grabbed a hammer a a spike and drove it through the back of the cabinet and through the rat... needless to say my mom got real cabinets
a little bit latter.

Ah, the 50s Metal kitchens!   We had one, too.  There's a fun website/blog about 50s houses - seems the in thing now is to take them back to their roots, metal cabinets and all.  Have to admit, the blog's owner's aqua kitchen looks fabulous, though!
