Hi All!
Got St Pattys day off since I work for an Irish co. & its my best gal pals birthday so we head outa town to do some junking! we hit one tiny consignment shop got a beautiful mid century modern wooden chair with the packing slips still stapled to bottom of seat from 1957, a scrabble game, a vintage tin travel soap holder, a decoupaged drawer, an old silver frame, a dragon fly lantern & a mushroom, piece sign yang yang bling string for the rear view mirror  all for $10
The second place we hit was an old turkey barn that you can plunder through we got 2 rolls of vintage shelf liner, a wooden framed window,2 key chains, old fold out yard stick,wooden rooster S&P marked japan, a flat piece of barn wood for a sign, box of vintage owl cards, a travel scrabble for the mini tiles,a homemade wooden spoon, an old projector movie reel,and a book from 1968 "how to make something from nothing" by Ruth Stearns Egg about making things from *junking* its awesome..all of this for  $7 bucks
and then a yardsale  got a three legged table <kind that goes against wall> 7 pieces of the hull brown drip <5 of which I didnt have in my collection> pyrex bowl w/ green daisies, mushroom creamer, sugar and teapot, a large glass mushroom cutting board/hotpad?  & a vintage bead necklace all of this for $9.50...cant believe the treasures we found, met some really nice ladies, celebrated my bffs birthday..and drank bellinis at the olive garden on a wednesday at noon HA! The Junky Thrify Gods were showering us with love yesturday! Miss you guys and hope your thrifty days are going well!!!

that does sound awesome!  great prices on the stuff.  I can hardly wait for yard sales here, the weather is getting nice so they should start soon.  I saw one on Craig's list for Sat, but it sounded like it might be a dealer thing so we will see. 

There is a really cool mid-century modern bureau at my local Sal Army that has been there for a few days now ($30).  I can't fit it in my car but I am always surprised that the mid-century mod pieces hang around for longer that some of the other furniture since it is so popular now (I guess not around here!).

Your finds sound great. i need to go thrifting with u.lol. u got some great deals. its been slow thrifting here lately so i am excited to hear about everyones good luck. would love to see pics of the chair. i love mid century. like valleythrift im awaiting yardsales to start. since im in south carolina iand the weather is getting warm there are alot of yardsales this weekend..  @ valleythrift i wish the midcentury pieces would hang around a couple of days here.  i saw a really cool chair for ten bucks but ofcourse it was sold. and i still cant get that drexel midcentury coffee and end tables out of my mind. lol i hope i find some good finds in the near future.
