My grandmother used to spend the holidays with us each year. One of the best parts about Grandmom visiting was her Chicken and Rice. She's half Hungarian, so it's sort of a Chicken Paprikash stye dish.
As it turns out, one of the secrets to the success of this recipe is a thick aluminum pot with a tight fitting lid.
Cookie and I have discovered at thrift stores "Club" potware. It's thick aluminum and is perfect for stovetop cooking as you can use a very high simmer and not burn things easily. The first piece we got is a pink Club stock pot, about 6 quarts. The second, Cookie got today at a thrift in Kissimmee about 25 miles from our house. It's a smaller baby blue sauce pan w/ lid.
We have used the larger pot for EVERY meal we've cooked since we bought it 2 weeks ago, it's fantastic!

This first picture is the bottom of the larger pot to show the "Club" logo.

This next picture is of both pots.

We're going to try to complete a set in each color..Happy Hunting!

I saw a tan set of those pots at a garage sale last week. I wish I''d have know they were that good, I would have purchased them.
