Before work yesterday.  One of the lovely benefits of working at a thrift store is that I get to see everything we have on a pretty much daily basis (and shop on my break).

I bought a 1970 issue of Seventeen magazine.  The magazine is so much larger than today''s magazines and it''s interesting to see how magazines for (teenage) girls have not changed in almost 40 years (same type of ads, articles, etc.).

A knit, argyle vest and a military-styled jacket.  The jacket is a few inches too wide, but I like how it looks.

I broke my promise on waiting until I got paid to do some shopping, but I couldn''t pass these items up.

I love old magazines!  I wish I could thrift some old issues of the magazines I used to read when I was in junior high and high school, like Seventeen, Glamour, and Cosmo from the early 80''s when everyone had big hair.  In my school everyone was reading Seventeen starting at age 13, and by the time you got to be 17, Seventeen Magazine was too young for you and you had moved on to Cosmo, which is crazy!  We all thought we were so sophisticated and cool reading Cosmo and following the ridiculous advice they''d have about flirting with men or whatever.  You''re right, the articles haven''t changed much!
