LOVE that lamp!  I, too am a lamp collector.  The gaudier, the better!  What fun.   Grin  I haven't found any good ones lately.  Makes me sad... Cry

I saw one of those last time at the antique show in a booth right accross from mine.  They wanted $300 for it...

My brother told me he saw ours years ago buried in a pile of stuff in the back of the cellar.  That does not bode well for the lamp-clock-lighter.

$300 for a lamp... yikes. I've never paid more than $15 and it has to be pretty darned special for that! Usually mine are around $6.

No it doesn't.  The venetian shades are easliy dented, and can easily rust left in a damp basement.

Well, you never know, when my father retired he moved across the country to CA & left behind a whole house full of stuff (my sister bought it- she wasn't too happy about having to clean the whole thing out!)  I found lots of neat stuff that has been down in the basement & up in the attic for years, most in pretty good shape.  The area of the basement around the furnance tends to stay dryer.  There may be hope for your lamp, if you ever dig it out post a pic if it survived!
