Some of the great things I have found over the years:

Authentic Louis Vuitton bag--$30
Fabulous vintage jewelry, pins--.25-about $5.00
60's era lava lamp (glows as greatly now as it did then)--$7.00
Wonder Horse--$50 (probably paid too much, but I absolutely loved it when I saw it!)

Oh, I love finding vintage jewelry at thrifts. Can you tell us what a Wonder Horse is? (Heh, I thought Wonder Woman had an invisible jet.) (kidding)...

Is a Wonder Horse a rocking horse on springs?

Seso--thanks for the welcome!  I feel very "at home" here!

TSR--Too funny.  Did you hear that Wonder Woman (Linda Carter) was out on a boat and found a dead body?  Weird.

Yes--it's one of those old-fashioned spring-suspended horses for kids to ride.  It's connected to a wide base.  Like I said, I'm pretty sure I paid too much for it, but it is shiny and beautiful like it was made yesterday.  I think they are still made, but mine has a date of sometimes in the 50's on it.  Very cool vintage toy.  It's out on loan right now until my baby get old enough to use it!  The little girl using it now LOVES it.  I was kind of concerned about the springs, so I covered them with some thick socks.  Looks a little odd, rides the same!

I HAD one of those Wonder Horses and I absolutely loved it. My parents kept it for me and then my sister and then gave it away when our weight may not have been supported on it,  Grin One of my favorite toys. Definitely worth it Grin Grin

If I find a pic of me or my sis on it, I will post it (yes, we had cameras back in the day Grin Grin)

Ah! Wonder Horse-- gotcha!

And no, I didn't know Lynda Carter found a dead body... yikes!

Guess she didn't get to rescue them in time.

Lynda Carter was my first TV crush, and she has aged wonderfully.

Just figured I'd throw that out there.

See you next time
Bye for now.

Wonder Horse--mine's in my basement.  My kids used it and now it's just downstairs alone.  Poor thing!  Still in great shape though.

I got a pair of either brand new or practically new Cole Haan Black leather penny loafers at the Samaritan Center in Ooltewah, Tn for $5.  I wear them all the time.  They will probably last longer than me. ::)o

Undecided that's like asking me which of my 2 children is my favorite.  A recent favorite was a pair of black leather Birkenstock sandals I got at a yard sale for 2.00.  And of course I love all my Charles Chips tins - they hold the "Place of Honor" on top of my kitchen cabinets.   Grin

I have trouble even trying to remember what in my house is thrifted and what isn't. I am very proud of the Stickley (not Stickley STYLE either) rockingchair that came home for $15.

We got a (non-nifty 50's) bouncy horse for my daughter when she was too young for it too. Except she has insisted that she ride it anyway. So since she was 10 months old we have been holding her while she rides the spring horse. She just laughs and laughs and never wants to get off of it. One of the best values for the dollar that we have spent on her.

Ahhh Charles Chips. I'm in Ohio and can remember going downtown to the Charles Chips shop with Granny. We took the empty cans in and handed them over the counter and had them refilled with hot fresh chips. I held them on my lap on the way back home and hanging onto the warm cans felt sooo good in the winter. And the smell........ohhhh goodness........

I got a wonderful beautiful sturdy wooden classic rocking chair at a Saver's thrift, (Used to be Value Village) a couple of years ago. It wasn't really cheap, I don't usually go to that store as they are more expensive, I think it was around $60.00 but they did give a 20% discount if I made a donation so I went home, got some nice clothing that I had been meaning to donate, including a winter coat, & got the discount. So I guess it was a bit under $50.00. Anyway, it is in like new condition, & I love those classic rockers. It has pride of place in the living room.
