Its been really slow thrifting in my neck of the woods. but i love reading about yalls great finds, keeps me motivated. however i did find a really cool mid ceentury bench/ table for 30 bucks.  a mid century united wall clock with ivy leaves for 2.50. 2 1960s lamps for 3.50 each. also i got a 1950s sectional at an estate auction for 65.00 dollars today. its a dusty rose pink color. i would love any feed back of ideas of what color i should paint my walls. i had recently bought another sectional  off of craigslist and paid alot more so i guess im goin to move that one to the bonus room. . alos got a lane mid century cedar chest with the splayed/tapered legs  at the estate auction . very excited. i have been having better luck at auctions then the thrifts as far as desirable items and great prices.

Wow, good for you, those prices do seem really good for auctions, happy decorating!  Ther was a MCM Lane off-white veneer cedar chest with tapered legs and gold decoration at my local Sal Army recently.  i can't remember how much they were charging maybe 20, you probably did better at the auction.

Speaking of mid-century benches...

My neighbor across the street threw this cool mid-century bench/coffee table out in the trash.  Fortunately, I was watching when he did it, so I swooped down and grabbed it.

Thanks i picked up the sectional today and put in my living room. i love it . hhowever the redish walls dont look so hot with a dusty rose couch. lol but ill make it all work after i pick a color for the walls it will be pulled together . i have been looking through old 1950s decorating books to get ideas. cant wait to put pics up once its done.                                        to flea queen... thats exactly like my bench/ table. lol im glad u got it in such a great free way. lucky u. i put mine in front of my bed at the moment.  i was thinking of getting glass cut and using it as a coffee table. . it suprises me what people throw away.  luv the bench. glad it went to a good home instead of a land fill.
