Oh my, YES!  

I was actually taking a chance.  I knew zip about the makers of the tea kettle, but I knew that sometimes this "designer" stuff goes pretty high.   And if it didn't sell, well -- I had myself a kettle for less than four bucks.    

The same tea kettle has sold on eBay before, but I don't think it ever exceeded $50 or so.
