I was doing a little last minute thrift gift shopping and came up with a like new Vera Bradley mini backpack in the Greenfield pattern for 8 bucks and a new in box flameless lavender color/scented candle (1.50) for daughters stocking.  Her comforter is lavender and her room could use some freshening now & then (messy teenager) so its perfect.  It has a color show feature too so it can be used as a nightlight.  Hopefully I will come up with a few more goodies tomorrow.

Thanks, one of the reasons I don't sweat last minute shopping is that the thrifts usually come through with some good stuff.  Also, there are some great bargains for last minute shoppers at the regular stores too.  Most gifty stuff is 50% off already.

Merry Christmas to me, Merry Christmas to me....

I went out shopping.  Ended up buying a lot of stuff for me!

New mattress pad & pillows on sale 50% off @ Kohl's + an additional 15% off for putting it on my Kohl's charge.  I will sleep like a baby now.  My old pillows were worn out and lumpy.

In Tuesday Morning I bought a 12 ft HDMI cable for my laptop for $19.99.  Those of you who have high end TV's know that a 12 ft HDMI is usually over $100.  I jumped on it.  I wanted an extra HDMI cable to keep in my laptop case anyway.  I also bought a new cell phone case in there.  Its nice, with a clear window on the front so I can see who's calling without taking the phone out of the case.  And its made by the same company that makes swiss army knives so its good quality, and for $4 it can't be beat.

Oh, and I did buy some gifts for others too...  Wink

That won't happen because I'm staying at my mom's.  The bed in her guest room is super firm, not super squishy like my bed.

Lots of vintage china, collectibles, a cool beer sign... It's amazing what it's possible to find!

Fun stuff beautiful plates & nice beer sign, some of those are pretty collectible.  I got a free live Christmas tree this morning, so I guess being a last minute Christmas shopper pays off.  The cat will have a field day with it I'm sure so only paper ornaments will go on it.  I got this great vintage Christmas decorating how-to book not long ago & it is full of paper crafts.  I have a stack of wallpaper sample books I got free at a yard sale that I am going to use to make some stuff from the book- I will be sure to post pics!

Stopped in to Goodwill yesterday and got my daughter 12 brand new Disney books for only 35-cents each!  She is only 3, but I read to her and these will be great as she gets older and starts to read herself.

TSR I absolutley love those plates, the colors are awesome! Great find! And about the handmade sign that your friend made, it is beautiful, I know how much work is involved for I have made 3 needlepoint tapestries, which I later had made into pillows, and one big cross stitch item which took me l yr to stitch of sunflowers in a blue and white vase, the sunflowers are so awesome and real looking with red berries through out, the colors in the tapestry are so beautiful, beautiful yellows, golden yellows, blue and white and then the contrasting red berries, it took me a while but turned out nicely, which I then had custom matted and framed at a framing shop. That was yrs ago and I swear the reason I now wear bifocals dailey is because I "ruined" my eyes doing that piece. lol! Wink
