I've been making out pretty well with kitch type stuff in the thrifts lately.  Got a Keane sad eye painting today at the food bank thrift.  The painting and two scrabble deluxe games with turntables cost me 5 bucks.  This sad eye picture really oozes sadness, my daughter thought is was creepy.

I also picked up two paint by number paintings at the same thrift last week for $2.50  One is a desert scene the other an Oriental fishing boat scene.  The reason I wanted them was for the frames, they have matching rustic barn wood type frames, really nice, better than in the picture.  They would look great in a cabin or ranch house.

Funny thing about the food bank thrift, the cashiers decide the price, nothing is marked, although some things like clothes have a standard price (so vintage, new with tags or upscale brand is the same as everything else).  When I first saw the paintings the cashier told me $5.00, but I knew another cashier would be working later in the week who would think they are ugly so I waited luckily they were still there.
