How often do you go into a thrift store and just find stuff that you could use - just regular type stuff - nothing great or amazing?

Found a tackle box, some grounding pig tails, a Sony remote that didn't work, and two extension cord winding things.  Nothing to write home about.

So why am I wasting everyone's time writing to the board?

Who knows, but I'd love to hear about others' regular stuff.

What on Earth are you going to do with a broken remote, and if you need broken remotes, I think I have a couple for you.

I never go for regular crapola (rc) unless I am confident I could find it at a decent price.  If I go for special crapola and while I am at it find rc thats an added bonus.

6 weeks ago I got a dress shirt for $5. That was good rc since it would cost at least $15 new.

Yesterday I picked up one of those jars that holds spaghetti.

I have a history of spaghetti falling out of the cabinet, out of its box and onto the floor.

No - the remote wasn't "broken," it didn't work the equipment I wanted it to work.

Our DVD player took a dump, so a friend gave us theirs.  Problem was no remote.  Well, most DVD players lose a large chunk of their versatility when you don't have the remote.  So I've been looking, but so far, I have been unsuccessful.

sounds like my bedroom TV.  The remote recently broke, and now there is no way to set the sleep timer.

The Salvation Army prices regular crapola at not so regular prices, so I skip alot of little things I might otherwise pick up.  I did get a new two pack of charcoal pre-filters for my air purifier for 3 bucks, they cost about 17 bucks at Home Depot.  Also two needed lids for Pyrex dishes for 50 cents each and a new bottle of Clinique skin toner for a buck which was quite a bargain.

I found a brand new sealed HP 60 Ink Cartridge Combo Pack at the Sally today for only .49.  I still can't believe they priced it so low.  It is not the # I use so it is going on EBay.

I have picked up many ink cartridges at the thrifts and Ebayed them too.  I guess the thrifts price them low since they can't guarantee they work.  As long as they are still sealed though they are always fine, or at least in my experience.  I just picked up a Dell laser printer ink cartridge for 99 cents the other day.

The other day I found some ice tongs (I needed some for my ice bucket) for $.20.  Nothing spectacular but  heck I needed some,  and can't beat the price.

Today got an unopened digital picture frame for $10.  I haven't opened it yet, but will soon.  Even if it doesn't work it was still a great deal.

Going to be buying a set of 4 wine glasses. I had bought a set of 4 many years ago that were NIP from Zellers - packaging looked like it was from the 1980`s.

Well there is only one surviving glass. I am donating that one. You never know who may be missing that glass, it`s got a square stem & getting 4 matching ones.

Well my regular crap is just that.  Yesterday I went to the new Community aid store in Hanover, PA.  I purchased a rain jacket, a pair of jeans and 3 cookbooks (not vintage just rc that you could have bought in a bookstore a few years ago)
