...writer?

Found way out in the country at a yard sale, and acquired for a big $3.00

Nice!  I found one of those last winter at the Salvation Army, I love the color.  More recently I found a teal color Olivetti typewriter for 3 bucks at the same Sally, so now when I go into that store I am always hoping to spot another typwriter.

A few weeks back I picked up a vintage Webster typewriter at a church sale for a buck, when I got it home & opened the case I found a bunch of note that some middle school age girl and her friends typed to each other back in the 80's (vintage texting) as well as the lyrics to Beat Street typed out, haha.  The notes were filled with profanity so I am glad the old ladies at the church sale didn't open the case & read them!

Way cool on the found notes.  We call that "evidence."

Both finds are very cool. I have found several things inside thrift store purchases. Somewhere, I have some old Florida Orange Juice flyers that I found in a book dated 1935.

Still haven't found a bunch of money yet, darn!

You can find a lot of funny things that people have "found" on

foundmagazine.com

It's addicting...so be careful.

Here is a picture of a Remington Rand typewriter that I saw a couple of weeks ago . . .

I've got a World War 2 correspondents typewriter that I found a few years ago in St. Louis.  However, I don't use it much.  It has a very cool compact design though!
