I had a medical appointment canceled today, so I had a little extra time while I was out to scout a thrift store I don't get to too often. It was one of those "I have a feeling" days. My hunch paid off...in the form of a Jeopardy! Challenger. This is a cool little handheld unit you score yourself with as you watch Jeopardy! Apparently they're kinda rare these days...and the eBay prices prove it, if you go by that (here's a current auction for your reference).

This beauty was complete in its box with instructions, styro and battery in mint condition. Price? A whopping $.69. I wonder what I'll do for a Daily Double when I hit the PA thrifts this weekend.

I think I need this printed on a t-shirt I can wear when I go thrifting.  I'll wear it under another shirt and only flash it if I see somebody carrying something that should rightfully go in MY basket!

Great find!  I love Jeopardy.  I used to have the Jeopardy for the original Nintendo but someone
borrowed it and it never came home again:(

I know hand-held electronic games were all the rage back in the late 1970's and early 1980's.  My brothers had the Coleco "Head-to-Head" football and hockey games, which were nothing more than LED's in a grid with batteries.  Truly rudimentary, but endlessly entertaining.

Nice find on the Jeopardy game

See you next time
bye for now
