Today at my favorite thrift I found similar prints and appliques of Holly Hobbie, a doll from the 70s or so maybe.  I found six packs altogether, for a grand total of $2.40.  I knew they were old, they are marked from $.50 to $1.00.  When was the last time American Greetings sold anything for $.50?  I should get out my doll and do something with all of it.  The lady at the cash register saw them and asked if there were any left.  I had to reply sorry, I was greedy.

Also found was an unopened box of envelopes, all done in a definite 60s motif with peace symbols and paisleys.  A price of $.69 printed on the box.  DD grabbed those almost before I could unpack my bag.  Fun stuff.

I think I mentioned this once before, but the woman who created Holly Hobbie, whose real name is Holly Hobbie, lives in a neighboring town to mine.  American Greetings picked up the Holly Hobbie line again several years ago and mattel was making new Holly Hobbie stuff.  I had a Holly Hobbie bake oven as a kid, some of the toys from the 70's do pretty well on Ebay.
