describe it - if it's light blue mug with a sort of lacy look, it's the one I collect the most of, except the mugs are always expensive (rare)

milk glass tea cup (I read that sometimes they were milk glass) molded flowers and stripes--there's a seam bisecting it from the mold.  The mark on the bottom is an anchor with a capitol H thru it.

You have an Anchor Hocking cup, although it sounds like it could be a punch cup, did it have a saucer?  I got an Anchor Hocking milk glass punch bowl & cups in the Sandwich pattern at the SA some time ago.  It is perfect in the original box, however I was bummed to find that the base was missing when I took it out of the box.  The bases on Ebay are overpriced with ridiculous shipping so I will have to keep my fingers crossed that I find one or any milk glass base at a thrift or tag sale.  The base really does make a big difference, looks so much prettier.

My mother just sold her set she rec'd when she got married.  Anchor hocking punchbowl, stand, and 12 cups - all packed in the original box.  She said in 38 years she's only used it twice.  Sold for $10...

You can buy a whole set on Ebay for the same or less than the dealers want for the base and even about the same for shipping!   I don't know who in their right mind would buy one, hopefully nobody.  If I found another set cheap (mine was $5.00) I would just buy it & donate the stuff I did not need.

Yes, I love it!   For a long time I wanted to find a CHEAP milk glass "Tom & Jerry" punch set, but they are high at dealers and, with shipping, high on ebay too.

What's so special about those anyway?  I don't think they have anything to do with the cat and mouse...  I always see them expensive as well.

I do like South Park too, but something about Family Guy doesn't do it for me.

I'm totally with you on that one!  Love the South Park episode with the idea balls...heh heh.

I didn't see that one, I only watch it occasionally, I forget about alot of Comedy Ctrl shows because it is high up in my channel count.  I have forgotten about the Sarah Silverman show for a while too.  My favorite CC show was Strangers with Candy.

The only shows I remember to watch weekly are Lost (best show ever!), 30 Rock, The Office.  Sometimes Desperate Houswives & Anitques Roadshow.  For anyone who likes true crime I would recommend Court TV's Forensic Files, it is quite addictive!

RE: Tom & Jerry - no, not the cat and mouse for sure, but would be cuter!  Don't know why they're high - I just liked the red graphics on the white, goes with my kitchen!

RE:  Crime Drama - I started watching "Dexter" now that it's on regular tv - a hard one to peg - I mean, he's a serial killer (bad) but only kills other serial killers (justice?) - really hard to decide how to "feel" about him!  LOL

In the idea balls episode of South Park, Cartman learns that the "Family Guy" writing staff is actually just a tank of manatees pushing around random idea balls.

Here's a link to watch the clip:

(Anyone mind that we're totally off topic now?)

I miss Forensic Files since we don't have cable anymore.  I agree that it's totally addictive.  We just finished season 1 of Dexter from Netflix.  We thought it was pretty good  except for the stereotypical characters in the police department.  We just got Six Feet Under from Netflix and it's weird to watch "Dexter" in such a different role.

Spacecadet (hubby) and I love South Park. I am always trying to find him a Tweek doll for his office (Tooooooooooo much pressure!).  He got me a "Timmy!" doll for my bd several years ago. I especially love the episode you describe---I haven't seen it,  Grin, but now I wanna. My favs are the 1998 Christmas episode and "Underpants Gnomes" (As you can tell, we haven't watched in a while  Roll Eyes)

I have a friend who swears by "Dexter", but I don't have Showtime, so I guess we will have to rent it. What I hope comes out soon on DVD is "Mad Men". That I will have to own.
