Hello everyone.  I am alive and well and still thrift shopping.  I'm also buying bargains from Craigslist.org when the need arises.

As an homage to the screen name of our most-exalted-supreme-leader, I have to report that I thrifted some CB Radios this year (almost 1/2 dozen) and now I have CB's in all 3 cars that I use.  Some were brilliant finds and some were only average.  This thread means nothing without pictures, so I'll have to take some.

I still continue to look for Wilton stuff (although with little luck) but did find an Wilton Bundt pan which we have used.

I am also now fully infected with PYREXIA (don't get too close or you catch it, too) and have collected a small assortment of bowls and storage/refrigerator dishes we use all the time.  My friend Brandon has a full-on case of Pyrexia, and will look for it for his wife who really likes any kind of Pyrex (new or old)

I still look for stereo bargains, records, and bikes, and scored a French-made (would have to be either Puegeot or Motobecane) Sears English-garden/Mary Poppins-type bike for my older daughter - in really nice shape.  She doesn't like mountain bikes or road bikes, and is a retro girl herself, so this was a perfect fit.  It even has one of those spring-loaded racks on the back.

I've found some records (actually a ton of records) which are too numerous to post here.  One amazing find was a Denon AVR-4800 Home Theater Receiver with the remote and about 6 high-end cables for $99.99 (minus the ubiquitous 20% off coupon) for $79.97.  This unit sold for $2000 in 2002.  Cool.

But now it is time to read some of the stuff I've been missing over the past 18 or so months.

So Guilt is saying "Hi, how've you been?". New one on me brother. Glad you've decided to chat.
Man I miss thrifting in Phoenix sooooooo much. Tons of retirees and dry weather make for great thrift shopping.
When I am in Phoenix, and some day I know I will be, a couple lunches and many many thrift shops are on me.

Nice to see you back dude.

"It's not what you say, but the tone of your voice."  <-- Thrifted phrase from the good folks in Sun City.

I know you didn't guilt me into anything, but I was feeling guilty about not posting for so long.  It had nothing to do with you, except you shined a light on it and forced me to realize my own self-inflicted guilt.

I have read Second Hand, a novel by Michael Zadoorian, a couple of times since I was last on the site.  I highly recommend it to anyone who likes to thrift shop.

I checked a thrift store yesterday, but no luck.  Have not been to one today.

That is all.
