Today was the first day we've had more than just a couple of garage sales.  Weather has been cold or baking for many people to want to be outside.  Today the weather was warm enough although there was a light rain coming down.  That means not as much competetion though.
I found  vintage sterling silver ice tongs at an estate sale.  DD found some books on local bird watching.  DS's Scout troop had been trying to build a library of books on local flora and fauna so a donation is headed their way.  I also found a cook book from a local restaurant that went out of business a few years ago.  Total for every thing was $1.75.
Next stop wasa multi family raising money for a loacl chartiy.  DD got a shopping bag of vintage looking clothes for $5. Some 60's era stuff, a couple of designer pieces and a gorgeous  hand beaded silk dress with tags still attached.  A
very mod 60's looking chunky pink bracelet too.
I found several pieces of jewelry, a bumblebee pin, a silver necklace and a black and silver necklace along with earrings, along with 2 cookbooks and 2 coffeetable books, one on antiques, on on Erte.  $7 for all.
Our favorite thirft was having a sidewalk sale today too.  DD found a Banana Republic sweater and a beaded green silk halter, $1.50 for both.   I found some interesting kitchen gadgets for my wall of useless kitchen gadgets.  A butter curler, and a vegetable peeler with a handle shaped like a potato.  Hard to hold onto but cute enough to display.  A cookbook called Cooking with Love and Cereal.  Anyone for a nice juicy burger that is half All Bran?  Sounds yummy huh?  Can't wait to try that one (not!) Some still packaged drawer handles, two necklaces, and a mixology book.  Not a big drinker but hey who can resist a recipe called ahem (turn away if you blush easily) a Bosom Caresser.  May have to try that one to see where it gets me.

Sounds like some great finds, you should post the recipe for the cocktail, haha.  I had various obligations the 1st 2 weekends of June, so I finally got out as well this past weekend and there were three local church sales, with lots of good finds, I will post some pics this week when I get the time.

Congrats again on the tag sales!
