I picked up a box of old beer cans from Goodwill for $8.00.  Within the box was about 100 pulltab collectable beer cans, I've priced a few and they average around $5.00/can several of my favorites Natty Boh, and PBR, plus a really cool schiltz Tall Boy.  I'll post some pics

I know nothing about beer cans, they did do a segment on beer cans on Antiques Roadshow once.  It may be in the AR archives.  It is great to find a whole box of something you like.  I recently got a whole box of vintage rangefinder cameras from Freecycle.  I love old cameras so this was quite a find for me.  Have fun displaying your cans!

So many, an antique cupboard I have in my kitchen now, a pair of teak danish modern side chairs that are in my living room, etc.  I love freecycle, I started really looking at it after hearing about someone's finds here on the thriftshopper forum too!

Nice, thanks for the tip, I just applied to become a member of the Baltimore Freecycle group.  Sounds fun.  I know I have things that others would enjoy

Just be warned that no shows are notorious on freecycle in general.  If you post something, a bunch of people might reply that they are interested, then never get back to you or not show up when they say they are going to.  Any small stuff I usually take to the thrifts, I have gotten rid of some heavy items on Freecycle though that people are willing to haul away.  I even see people posting offers for scrap metal, etc.

I've never had any luck with Freecycle.  I send out replies, and no matter how fast I am, I always get either no response, or sorry....  Gone.  Plus I remember it was a hastle with being a member of the freecycle group on the internet.  You had to have them send emails, or they booted you from the group (at least my local group operated this way)  I was tired of EVERY post to freecycle ending up as a separate email to my inbox.  I much rather read through the posts on the site than have my inbox junked up, so I left the group.

If you live in a densly populated area, I can see how Freecycle would not work out, too much competition and too many posts to go through.  My area is just unpopulated enough that Freecycle works out nicely for me, although the Amherst freecycle group sometimes resends about a months worth of old posts that I have to go through and delete, but it is still worth it for me.
