Thanks for asking!  The new puppy is "Teddy Roosevelt" which is of course "Teddy" for short -- even though she's a girl.  We always name after presidents.  I am convinced she is a direct descendant of Lucifer but does have an angelic moment here and there...

I've missed thrifting, posting and blogging -- and hope to be back to it by Monday!

Thriftily,
Alexandra

Hey Seso! A little late to get in on the convo but I was out of town in Tampa for the weekend! Managed to go to the "new" Goodwill there, that place is so rad, you really must check it out if you get a chance, rows and rows of purses, shoes, shirts, pants , nic nacs etc. I bought a cute sundress, turquoise, a darker blue and black flowers on a white background, with turquoise ruffles (2 rows) on bottom, it goes past the knees and is a tshirt material, real spanish looking, cute, a pink night gown in tshirt material with 2 rows of ruffle on bottom (do I see a trend here or a compulsion that day for ruffles? lol!) and a lilly type skort of dark pink, light pink and a rose pink flowers on lime green background made by "Bamboo Traders" no doubt some castoff from a society lady who lunches and plays golf! lol! All for $20.00, they run a little high there but I had fun! About your finds you go Gurl, you made some awesome discoveries! I have vintage Vera placemats also but they are in Spring colors of lime greens, darker greens, yellows and oranges,  of different vegtables, got those yrs ago , I think they are made of some kind of light linen, very impressive! About your scarf, in my opinion it definatley is a real Chanel, that was a pattern of hers for many yrs and also it also has a Versace sort of feel with what he was famous for of chains and lockets etc, back in the day that was a very COMPETITIVE pattern that meant that you had old money and had arrived, you know think of ladies lunching! lol! So it would make sense to me that Ms. CoCo would have copied that pattern from Versace or at least should I say institude her own interpertation of it. So yes in my opinion I think you have a original, try to Ebay it and you might find a comp, let me know! As always Iam jealous of your keen eye for discovories, Ciao my friend....Oceangurl! Smiley

Dahling! My sincerest Congrats and Kudos to you for your stellar finds! (How ruffly of you Grin Grin) I've never thrifted over on the West Coast, but I do know that Chrismiss has had a lot of luck there.

Funny, while you were in Tampa, I was in Lauderdale, checking out the great museum there. (we stayed on Las Olas, daaaaaaaaaahhhhllling). We checked out the SalArm off of 95. It was very busy, the employees were lovely, but the stuff was mediocre at best. And expensive. Expensive mediocrity.

Ick*

I am not a label whore, fer gosh sakes, but if I am going to spend any amount of $$$, I want quality, d*mn it. Just because I'm broke doesn't mean I have to have poverty in/of taste now, does it??

But then, I didn't buy anything at any of the trendy "shoppes" on Las Olas, either...also filled with expensive mediocrity as well.

Love,
Your Bitchy friend,
SeSo
