WOW, great find!  Even though I have no children I would taken them just to display in my home office because I grew up with FP toys and still love them!  Every once in a while I will buy a toy just to display and enjoy and if a child happens to visit my home they usually leave with my toys.
Who says we have to totally grow up!

I feel like I'm having a childhood flashback! I loved my Little People dollhouse. You did so amazingly well!

Recently, I found a Little People Schoolhouse in the trash and rescued it. I just couldn't leave it there to the mercy of the Dumpster Gods. Smiley

what a gold mine you struck!!!! i search thrift stores high and low several times a week, and have rarely been able to find any fisher price... i am an avid collector. i have found a few sets, none with the people or accesories, but i thrift on. i do have a "toy room" set up and its the best place to be, lots of memories in that room. congrats, and send some fisher price luck my way....

I would have loved to find those! I actually go on ebay to show my daughter the toys I played with as a child, and Little People were such a favorite. I really, really want the Little People Village like the one I had when I was little. I could buy one, but it seems like there are just so many other things we really need, you know?

little people are so much fun. I buy them  at every garage sale for my GF's nephew.  I recently tried to buy some newer ones on line and found they really reduced the number of stlyes and set they have.

I bet you wish you were there  a few hrs earlier, then again to  grown women fighting over toys mught not be a good thing.

I have no little kids anymore nor grandkids.

What matters is that you enjoy them.
I have all kinds of trinkets and momentos that people wonder why I buy them, or collect them, but when they come over they smile.
Many admit they wished they had saved some from their childhood.

We had a volunteer that marked a LP airplane and garage at $2 each.  Shocked  I didn't know about it until the next day when my coworker told me that they were gone within an hour of being put out on the floor.  I knew they were worth something but I think $2 was a steal.
