I've been hitting the thrifts this week and, except for the blissful Ben Seibel, it's been the made-in-China extravaganza out there. Except for today:

I found a beautifully simple ceramic? porcelan(sp)? coffee pot by Mikasa. It was 5 bucks and it is in MINT condition. It's a lovely shade of pale green, very close to the green on my Merrifleaf set and the lines are simply simple. Very elegant. It's signed on the bottom: "Mikasa Fine Elite China Narumi Japan" It looks simply stunning with my Merrileaf!

Anybody out there know anything about this piece?  It looks to be vintage. The green is a sheer green, lighter, not the dark matte of 70s avocado. I'm swooning!

Oooo, Eddie, thanks for the link, but that's not it. I will have to take a pic and show y'all.  The more I look at it, the more I like it. It's changed my thinking about color Smiley, I can tell you that!

Hi Seso,
I found 6 Mikasa tea cups last week. They are a light green color, in the honey dew pattern. I need to go back and try to find the saucers. But not bad for $1.  Smiley

Hey Heather!  How are you doing?  Did you have a good thrift trip to FLA?

I am very excited for your find.  I know next-to-nothing about Mikasa would love to see a pic of your cups. And yes! What a great find for the price!

I am hoping to get a pic of my teapot soon to post here. I think you will love it.  It changed my whole decorating scheme, lol.

Would love to hear about your trip!

Ciao,
