As I waded through my Selden Thrift today, I noticed a little action on the cassette scene. Amidst the loads of Sherrie Austin (a dozen or two of the same title), Christmas and Ford car demo tapes, were a few gems I picked up:

Hanna Barbera's Christmas Sing-A-Long
Christmas With The Looney Tunes
Mickey Unrapped (Vanilla Mice, anyone? PS, this one was actually never unwrapped - it's still in its blister pack)
and the Animaniancs album!

And I'm sleeping on a Super Nintendo. I'll go back on Sunday when the sale tags change color and hope for it to be half price. Love to get that Super Game Boy cartridge with it!

Zed - you would know about this.

I saw an old Atari deck (2600?  I didn't see a model number on it) with both the paddles and the stick controllers, and about 16 cartridges in a Good will on Friday.  The deck with the controls was 12.99 and the carts were 1.99 a piece.

I didn't note a power supply with the deck, so there was no way to test, and I didn't see a  cord to go from the deck to the TV.  Are these things proprietary, or can you find generic stuff that will work?

On a different note - did I flub the dub by not picking up such an incredible bargain?

See you next time
bye for now.

If it's an original 2600 (which it sounds like it is, since there's no model number on it), there absolutely has to be an RCA cable for the TV connection - it's hard-wired in at the back. As for the power cable, you'd need to find one with an output of 9V DC and 500mA. Loath as I am to say it, RadioShack may still be your best bet to find one.

If it's still there, double check which model it is, and if it's the old-style Atari with woodgrain, check the right rear for the TV cable. If it's there, super. Bonus points for a TV/Game switch at the other end. Wouldn't hurt to ask if anyone's seen the power supply, either. If you need the TV/Game and the power supply separately, that'll set you back about $10 or $15 additional.
