Scored a Sony TC-KE500S from Craigslist.org (yeah, I know it's not technically "thrifted", but don't you think we're splitting hairs here?) for the whopping sum of $25.00

This one sold for $350.00 back in 1996, and came with the original box, packing materials, and owner's manual.

I'm glad it's working out.  If it ever takes a dump on you, just let me know and I'll send a replacement.  I have a few spares.

Cassette Decks?  Yesterday at St. Vinnys I had to stop myself from buying a portable 8 track player!

I have no 8 tracks, they didn't have any to test it out with, and the battery compartment was full of rust and corrosion.

And I'm still sort of kicking myself over it.

I might but an 8-track that would run through my receiver.
I have a couple 8-tracks and have no way of playing.

If I see a good one (Pioneer made some exceptional 8-track decks back in the day) I'll try to snag it.
