Hi,

Purchased another GE "Solid State" radio for $6 at Savers.  The model number is T1134B Beige [FWIW].  AC powered AM only radio.  FWIW the avocado green model I referenced in an earlier post is a GE solid state rado as well with model number T2115A Two Tone Green.  The two tones are avocado green and black.

The beige model's speaker is on top.  The green model's speaker is in front.  The latter is AC powered AM only as well.  So far, both models work perfectly.

Thanks,
Bob

Nice find.  Does it work?  Plus - if possible, stuff like the radios you're talking about makes for some great pictures.

See you next time
bye for now.

Hi BigDaddyAudio,

Both work.  I run them off a power strip, which I turn off when I leave the apartment.  Don't want to take any risks in case there is a defective capacitor or something of that nature.

I have another similar GE radio that is AM/FM and incorporates a clock.  This one will make for an excellent picture when I get around to putting pictures up.  Once again, there will be pictures [one of these days].

Thanks,
Bob

I'd love to find a 50s era "moonglow" alarm clock - I know LL Bean makes a repro, but would love an original working one!

Hi,

Obained the following SONY radio model for approx. $6 at Savers.  Actually slightly less since I used a discount coupon:

That is awesome looking.  I am glad it works but i think I would have bought it regardless, it would look cool on a shelf or as a book end.
