Went to my favorite thrift today, had a free half hour or so to spare.  Anyway, pickins have been a little thin lately, don't know if it's post Christmas slowdown or bad economy or what.  Not much to be found.  Didn't even have a lot of cash on me.
Looked in my favorite sections, not much.  Scored a very nice blank journal from a museum in England.  A paperback  book.  Nothiing to getr me really jumping tho until I was looking in the craft section.  I was rummaging around in amongst all the bags of icky yarns and half finished macarame kits when I dropped a bag of yarn.  I bent over to pick it up and saw someting sparkle at me from the bottom shelf.  I picked it up and WOW!!!!!!!!!  A bag with a reel of beaded trim in it.  Rhinestones and sequins and pearl and  beaded trim.  A little more than 6 yards of this trim I know to be horrendously expensive.  A former boss at the company where I used to work used to buy this for samples and wholesale  it ran $10 a yard upwards.  It was wrapped around a reel that another trim had been on, a poly lace that was $.49 a yard.  Don't know if someone saw the $.49 and thought that was the price per yard or if one of the many  Mexican workers who work there didn't know what it was.  Don't know.  Don't care.  It is mine now and was for the price of (I still can believe it!) of $1.50, minus the Tuesday discount of 20%!  So $1.20 for $50+ worth of trim.  A bonus was a couple of yards of a nice cotton lace trim to boot.  Great for doll clothes.  Now to figure out what to do with it....
