I think I forgot to tell you about this one. I'm so proud of it, though, that I have to. I was on the way out of a Goodwill one dark afternoon when I discovered a receiver and a cassette deck outside, waiting to be taken in. The receiver looked like a nice Sansui, so I thought I'd come back in a little and see how they priced it once they got it inside.

After an hour or so, I made my return. And there the receiver was...in a shopping cart with its buddy the cassette deck. I made inquiry. Turns out they were going to the Goodwill Distribution Center the next day...if I didn't buy them both for $20. They were in rough shape, presumably having sat in someone's basement for several years. The receiver had some rust on the bottom of it, and the AM radio wasn't working. The cassette deck, a Sanyo, looked better, but one of the hubs cracked apart when I tried to clean white stuff off it. No real loss there....

But last week I got back to the receiver. I shot some cleaner into each knob and button. Lo and behold, the AM worked again, and all of a sudden I had a Sansui G-6700 that was firing on all cylinders! And boy is there a lot of fire: 90 watts per channel. It sounds so warm and smooth, I can't stop listening to it! In fact, I'm listening to it right now.

That's a nice one, and for $20.00 - even if you threw the cassette deck away - you made out real well.
