Wow, Krisathome, I don't know where to begin...your stuff is http://amazingly eclectic, shabby chic and just plain groovy--

Did you make your pot rack out of a ladder or old laundry rack?  It's great and so functional--no one would know.

And get this--I have both the Hull Magnolia vase and that red barbecue tray, lol!

I never thought I'd see another one of those trays.  Do you know anything about it?

I got my Hull at the Goodwill last year for 1.99. It has a barely visible hairline on one of the handles, but at what it would sale for mint, who cares?  It's not really my style, but I couldn't resist the workmanship and fabulous colors.

I love your shabby chic--I think there are others on this board (TSR, Alexandra) who will just love your style!

Kudos to you, my friend! A beautiful and eclectic collection of function!

Ciao,

Wow!  I agree with Seso.  Fantastic what you have found and done with it!

I have to say that although I loved all your photos, I especially loved the clock wall.

I also have an old kitchen cupboard in my living room, but I use it to store art supplies, games, puzzles and some throw blankets.

Anyway, you have definitely inspired me!

You have some great vintage lamps, and are really taking advantage of all the excellent rose-printed pottery/porcelain pieces that are out there.

Looks like you're having an amazing amount of fun!

I really like the way you put the ashtrays up on the wall----great idea! I may have to steal that one.   Wink

Oh, and the Mr and Mrs Santa Claus---we had those when I was a kid (a good while ago).

The pot rack looks like a crib side to me.  I really dig the shelves with the pottery on them (the pottery is nice, too) and the knotty pine in the family room.  Our first house back in New York had our family room done in knotty pine - It was my favorite room in the house.

See you next time
bye for now

Grin You really have my kind of taste! I love the hull, old mixing bowl, stoneware pottery and spongeware and the pale green cupboard and the pink one too! I could go on and on.
My hubby & I are faithful Goodwill shoppers and any other thrift store that we happen upon.   Thanks for sharing your beautiful home!

You don't sound like an idiot, Big Daddy Smiley

The Hull piece specific to this thread is in Krisathome's pic, through her link, which is entitled, "Corner Shelf". It's on the second from the top shelf, on the left.

Thanks for sharing pictures, I really enjoyed it.  You've done a wonderful job of using what you've found.  You really think outside the box for sure.  Who would have thought of displaying ashtrays on the wall like plates?  Great idea.  Love your home.

I just took a look at your pictures.  You have an amazing ability to display and decorate.  I am so impressed.  (And the ashtrays, very cool!  If only I had thought that!)

Hey, thanks for all the complements!  I really do love to decorate my house.  In fact, I would rather thrift shop for the home, than buy clothes.  Although I do love purses.   Wink

Yep, the pot rack is a crib side.

The Hull vase came from Goodwill.  I saw it in the cart of things they were putting out and I followed that woman til she set in on the shelf.  It's perfect, I couldn't believe my luck and all for $5.

The ashtrays have been fun to find.   I have run out of flat places to display things so on the wall they went.

Oh, and the lamps.....I am really having a hard time not buying more lamps.  I especially love the big 60's looking ceramic ones.    My husband has been a good guy and rewired some of them for me.  But his patience with my obsession is wearing thin.  His new favorite thing to say is "No more stuff until you get rid of some things".  But how in the world can I get rid of things???  Ok, so I really just don't want to!  I have been having the time of my life.
