Was in Goodwill a couple months ago and saw a basket just sitting there on the shelf.  You know straw baskets are a plenty in thrift stores and garage sales.  But this one looked different.  Sure enough! I picked it up and it was a genuine Longaberger complete with the plastic protector for $1.  I snatched it up fast. WOW!  Makes all the other ones I paid full retail for in my house seem not as fun.....I'm still telling people about this wonderful find.

I bought many new Longaberger baskets and about 5 years ago I went to a moving sale and they had stuff in piles for .25 .50 etc. and I found a small Longaberger basket with Easter fabric liner and plastic liner for .25!  Pull it out every spring and put the Easter candy in it.

I don't know if I would recognize a Longaberger if I saw one- any tips to ID them?

All my baskets have the name stamped on the bottom with the name or intials of the maker written on it and usually the year.
