I am over the moon! I made my rounds of the Goodwills today and at the last one on my route, I found a gorgeous purse! I looked at it and *knew* straight away that it was top quality -- even though I had never heard of the brand.

So I just had a look on ebay and the purse I have has a starting bid of $170! Shocked Now, I know that doesn't mean that this purse is necessarily worth that much, but the average for this brand (Brahmin) of purse seems to be in the $100-$250 range.

 Grin Grin Grin

I *LOVE* the purse so that makes the bargain that much sweeter!

Thanks for letting me share. When I told my dearest husband about my bargain, he gave me a  Huh and  a Undecided! Mind you, I would be a bit worried about him if he got excited about a purse! Cheesy

Brahmin is an excellent company, Mrs. Goodwill! Brava!  I am so happy for your spectacular find!  If you could post a pic, I would love to see it!

Good stuff-- can't beat a quality purse for that price!

And it's okay, your husband doesn't have to get all jazzed about it-- that's the beauty of TheThriftShopper forum-- here folks will be happy for you no matter what it is, if it's a good buy! (And it allows our family and friends a bit of a break in the enthusiasm department.  Grin )

That's great to find such a quality purse and at less than $3.00.  I'd never heard of the company so had to do a search and found their websitehttp://www.brahmin.com/index.asp  They have many great looking purses.  Now I'll have to keep an eye out for one of them.

Oh I so *do* understand your feeling of euphoria!!!  Now, doesn't it make sense, though, that through all your shopping... you've developed "eye." You know quality when you see it, you know how and where to look.

While others might not understand why so many of us are always willing to look -- your story illustrates exactly why it's worth doing.

Good job, lady!!!

Thriftily,
Alexandra
