My husband and I have a pretty good collection of video games and systems. I think we have around 13 or so different systems. My favorite of course is the NES. Game Crazy is a good place for games, but haven't come across a good Nintendo game for a while. Used to find them at Goodwill here and there, but not so much anymore. Anyone else into video games? (Bubble Bobble rocks my socks!)

Yes, I'm a dork.

Anyway, I also recently started a collection of pitchers. I needed something for the bare area above my cabinets. In general, I don't have a lot of "things." I like to keep my home simple and uncluttered. But I need to start decorating somewhere. Might as well be thrifty about it. So my big pitcher collection is up to 4 now.  Cheesy  It's hard to find pitchers, but even harder to find cute pitchers. (ps. I'm not talking about baseball. Wink)

I wish we could say the same. Our house is way too clutttered..

Hey thriftymama, I like your idea of an uncluttered house! (Less to dust Smiley)

What kind of pitchers do you collect? (and yes, I know you don't  mean Roger Clemens Smiley Smiley)

PS:  Many board members claim dork status. You will fit right in!  Wink

i collect old video games too... i used to have around a hundred or so NES games and a sizable collection of SNES games but they all got stolen. following that i vowed to only collect quality gmaes instead of all the pieces of crap considered "collection staples" (top gun, for example). i do know more about NES than anyone should though, down to machine part numbers.

cool. I so love Nintendo. I recently found Q-Bert at Savers for $3.99, but I passed on Pac-Man because I assumed I already had it (who doesn't?). But alas, I got home to check and we didn't. Got back to Savers today and it was gone. Oh well, it'll show up again somewhere along my thrifting journeys.

oh, and speaking of collection staple, let's not forget about "Hoops"  Cheesy

well, the thing is, there are three versions of pac man. do you have all three? they are black tengen unl, tengen grey and namco grey. namco is worth a little coin, the others not so much. my friend recently got ducktales 2 and chrono trigger. score.

can't wait to get out and thrift!

one thing i WAS collecting was vintage springbok puzzles, but only the ones i thought we would like to put together. i say WAS because i just saw how much they are going for on evil-bay and if that's what the market it like.. i can't afford them anymore! plus, someone else is getting them before me - i haven't seen any in my local thrifts for months. what's the world coming to - something that seemed trivial and fun has now become a sought after commodity and is being hoarded by unscrupulous collectors!
