I had an unexpected day off today, no breakfast and  coffee so I went nuts posting pictures to the point of being obnoxious!  I just love our treasures and have so much fun decorating our unique, round home with them that I just had to share as much as I could. We definately need therapy, but until that day comes we will just continue with our addiction to "fleaing" and have fun!

Can someone tell me how to insert a picture here?  Would love to show you our Round House in the Woods!

Check out my pictures. I would love to hear your feed back!

I found it was easiest to set up a Photobucket account, and then upload your digital pictures to that location.  From photobucket, you can insert them into a standard post...

...Like so:

It's actually very simple.

Love all your great finds, you have a wonderful style.  Nice job putting them all together.  I have inherited alot of furniture that I wouldn't part with, but sometimes it is hard coordinating the old family items with stuff of mine.  What part of the country are you in?  I am curious where all this great thrifting can be found!

My great Aunt & Uncle were quite frugal to say the least, but also kept everything in meticulous condition.  They had a mint condition old fridge & washing machine & all kinds of retro stuff like that.  Too bad when they passed & my Dad sold the estate I was in college & cared nothing about these things!  Cry

Hey Valleythriftshopper -

Thanks for your compliments!  It can be challenging to incorporate old and new without it getting too crowded or looking mismatched! Just keep playing with it.

My parents got rid of alot of stuff from our house and from my grandparents house when I left home as well. Heartbreaking!!

We are in Southern New Jersey and visit 2 flea markets in NJ and one in DE.

When i was a young girl,i loved going to grandmas house every chance i could. My grandmother had a "art deco" looking vanity that was solid wood that was from the 1930's.Now mind you that i am a child of the 1960's( proud to say 1962!!!).Her vanity was the one thing that i hoped that when she passed away,no one else would want it.To describe it ,the vanity had two drawers on each side of the vanity, which was curved. It had a lovely oval mirror attached .She kept her silver vanity tray that held her hair brush, perfume atomizer and her jewelry box.
But when i was 14,she passed away.My uncle, her son lived at the house with my grandfather, who passed away several years later. But in an unfortunate circumstance,my uncle and his then girlfriend got the house taken from them and my grandmothers vanity was sold.I cried.
