It all started when my daughter told me that Little Golden Books now cost $ 3.00!  I was on a mission!  And of course that led to what has now become an obsessive compulsive need to find OLD Little Golden Books that are never gonna go to my grandson but to me!  Yes, he gets the new ones but those classics from the 40's and 50's...those are GRAMA's books and we read them at my house!

Whenever I am at a yard sale & see little golden books I also see people immediately zoom in & snatch them up, so you are certainly not alone.  I have a few cute older ones that I have thrifted in the past, I haven't seen any old ones in a long time though, if you get a chance to take a picture of your bookss sometime you should post it, would love to see your books!

My sister & I used to make paper dolls when we were bored as kids.  A fun activity might be to make a paper doll to go with the clothes.  Alos you can try googling free paper doll downloads.  I printed some out once from a website for free.

I was at an estate sales a few years back where they has several old paper doll sets, many never removed from the original package.  They were priced more than I wanted to pay though.  The last day of the sale everything went 1/2 price & I did get this Girl Scout paper doll set from the 60's for 3 bucks.  My daughter was a Girl Scout & I was a troop leader for a few years so these appealed to me.
