Hello!

It's good to be able to add my voice to the chorus of such enthusiastic and devoted collectors.

My own collecting interest--and the thing that has me going to thrifts--is the work of the American fashion designer Alexander Julian.

While many remember him for his "Colours by Alexander Julian" lines, it is actually his far lesser known Couture (aka "Bespoke", or as Alex himself calls it, "Collection") line which is of greatest interest to me.

Here's a pic of nearly all of the labels from his Couture output:

If you should encounter any pieces bearing any of these labels, I'd love to hear from you, as I'm sure to be interested.

For anyone wanting to go down the rabbit-hole, into the Julian labelling universe, I've prepared a fairly exhaustive explanation, which you can find here:

Happy thrifting!

Good luck with your collecting, do you wear the clothes alot or display them mostly?  Strange thing, I was just looking at vintagefashionguild.org yesterday, I was looking at the Hattie Carnagie section.  I had read something about her and wanted to see more of her clothing as I am mostly familiar with the jewelry.  I had never heard of that site before and now I see it two days in a row, good information!
