I kept hearing the theme tune to Bargain Hunt...

Oh, I love that show! And a perfect interpretation, Big Daddy!

PS:  My husband did find those dishes himself...we found 'em for 20.00 apiece on the net, so we got 'em "cheap as chips"

Two problems (as I see it)

1) I'm in Phoenix - to fly to FL or PA would be cost prohibitive; driving would be less so, but would eat up a bunch of time.

2) If I did fly, how am I going to get all those great bargains home?

See you next time
bye for now.

I suggest Vegas!
Off season, renting a block of rooms and a bus for a Thursday-Sunday thing.
We could meet and greet Thursday thrift the following two days and then socialize on Sunday before heading out..
Travel light there and buy a suitcase to bring back with you.
Are there ever perfectly good suitcases at thrifts?  Roll Eyes

Are there good thrifts in Vegas? I'm afraid it might all be showgirl costumes! Sad  But GB, I bet you'd find a lot of ashtrays there Grin

Cookie, so sorry to hear of the tired leg experience!  I was having trouble keeping my balance on the uneveness of the hills and sand. But we couldn't have had a nicer day weather-wise. Pete did say the same about his neck Grin

I stopped at two thrifts today while out doing errands and it paled next to the abundance of Saturday's extravaganza.  I have seen "the mountain", and now I think I'm ruined for anything else Wink Wink

When you have a minute, can I have the name of that great belly-dancing DVD?  Did you listen to your records yet?

Yes, I can verify there are great thrifts in Vegas.  That's where I found the Chanel purse that I got.  Lots of other great buys too.

If it's Vegas, then we'd just have to drive up (me and missus).  I've never been, but since I don't gamble, there's not much attraction.  If there are good thrifts there, then I could see it.

Yes, thrift stores always have luggage.  It's rarely in great shape, though.

See you next time

I know I'm late chiming in here, but I had a GREAT time at Renningers!  It was great to meet SeSo and Pete, and to see Good Buddy and Cookie again too of course!  I love Renningers even when there's nothing big going on, but I really can't wait for the next Extravaganza!  (January 18, 19, 20 and February 15, 16, 17.)  I'm definitely going on Feb 16th with a friend who wants to check it out, and I'll probably go on Jan 19 too!

Yes, our Renningers is always open both weekend days!  The trouble with going to an Extravaganza on a Sunday is that a lot of the dealers pack up early so they can get out and go home - so you'd have to get there really early in the day to make it worthwhile.  Personally my favorite day to go is on Friday before everything is picked over, but it's tough to justify taking a day off work just for that!
