my BF and I are planning a weekend getaway all around a thrift type store I heard about in Berkeley SPrings WV. It's called the R.A.G. Shop - Recycled American Goods. They sell used items for cheap, I've heard the store is huge and they have an enormous assortment of merchandise. Has anyone been there? Did you like it?

Its been about a year since I've made it out there, but the RAG shop is cool.  There were a couple of other small shops we used to visit near there, but I don't remember exactly where anymore.

You'll have to post the Rag Shop in the directory.  I did a search in the directory and it's not listed there, only 2 Goodwill stores are listed.  So on your trip get the store names, addresses, and phone numbers.  Add them to the directory and Good Buddy will thank you!

I just looked up the Rag Shop and the website says it will be closed after July 1, 2007. Sad Cry  Here is a link to the website.  http://www.maggiedot.com/ragshop/.  The property is actually for sale now and everything.  What a bummer!

I was in Berkeley Springs today.  The RAG shop is now re-opening.  Instead of consignments they will now operate with a volunteer staff, and donations only.  50% of the profit will go to participating local charities.
I figured this would be borderline for acceptance into the list, so I submitted it.  Michael & Cookie can determine if it qualifies for inclusion after they call.
