I work for a NP that runs some thrift stores. Myself and the managers of those stores took a train trip to the big city (Lincoln Park area, Chicago) a few hours away to check out how those thrift shops look and operate. We got lots of great ideas, saw some crazy city things that wouldn''t fly in our small conservative town, but had a great time. We discovered out stores in Central Illinois had much lower prices, much larger selections and were much friendlier. On the way home our train hit a truck trying to cross the tracks- the driver was okay, but it was a crazy trip we won''t soon forget!
