My ex, who''s only good quality he brought to our relationship was opening me up to the world of thrifting, and I drove once from Los Angeles to Astoria, Oregon thrifting the whole way.  It wasn''t the main point of our trip, so I''m sure we missed some good stuff, but we did hit up a lot of stores, flea markets, and some roadside random sales, getting great stuff all the way.  So much so that we had to pay a fee to check our luggage on the way home because it was sooo heavy!  He also introduced me to some great stores in West VA which leads me to my other thrifting road trip....When I was engaged to marry a much nicer guy  Smiley my mom and I decided to go back to the town where I used to thrift with my ex in West VA to look for vintage linens to put on the tables at my wedding reception.   The town had unfortunately changed a little in the years I hadn''t been there, but we did find a few good things.  One of the stores, that used to be cooler, was the RAG shop (Recycled American Goods).  Back a few years ago it was more of a thrift store, but it has since gotten more expensive and turned into more of a consignment shop, but you can still find interesting stuff there.  There was also a great little thrift/flea market that lived in a few sheds behind a building, and that''s since closed....which is REALLY disappointing because it always had GREAT stuff.
