Title: Denver area thrifts...
Post by: Other People s Junk on April 29, 2007, 09:10:52 AM
We just spent a week in the Denver area.  My husband had training, so while he was in class the kids and I did various things, including thrift store shopping.

I really enjoyed the stores!  They were much better stocked and bigger than the ones I am used to where I live.

I gave (bribed) each kid a $3 allowance and they had too much fun finding books and stuffed animals and being on the lookout for the neatest thing and figuring out how much $$ they had left.

I ended up with:  books, a large towel bar type rack that I am going to hang old quilts off of, an old pyrex container with lid, a frame for a specific print I wanted to reframe, some movies and an old metal tissue box.

All in all, not the best trip for actual finds, but still lots of fun being able to go into a large variety of stores.  It was worth it!
