yep, norman is a great place.
the thrifting out here is okay, not great but okay.  i have never found anything at all like the posts i see in this forum, and i have noticed the prices are going up, but the hidden treasures are still there.  if you know what to look for.
there have been many times where i have seen something so amazing that i just grab it up and cradle it to my chest.  (as if someone is standing behind me waiting to snatch it away) Smiley
i've also done the little "look what i got" dance.  know what i mean?
i do notice that if you go to a store with little money, you will find something that you just have to have, and if you go with tons of money, there is never anything good.  why is that?  is that some sort of murphy's law for thrift shoppers?

I agree with yoU!  One time my hubby gave me a gift certificate for Goodwill for my birthday- It was only good for 3 months or something, but during that time do you think I could find anything that I really, really wanted?  Nope!  I ended up just getting stuff to use it up and I don't think I even used it all before it expired.   Sad

That is so totally true!  I've passed up so many great things because my wallet was light.  When I went back with more funds, they were gone!  =)

My husband is from that area.  He went to school at Mount Pleasant very close to you.

Hi and welcome to the forum!

I've been thrifting in Springfield!  My daughter and I went there.  She lives about a hour away, long drive but it was worth it.  We liked the Goodwill and the Salvation Army.  What are your favorite thrift stores?

Hey ChrisMiss!  If I get time I usually hit the Salvation Army on lunch because it is close to work and shop, try on in 1 hour and then usually on Sun I hit the Goodwill on Dirksen cause it is close to my house.  I am a secretary and not to brag, but I do dress very stylish and nice for a 37yr old, and the other girls always say how nice stylish I look then they say....don't even tell me you found that (article of clothes) thrifting.  My response I SURE DID!
